On 12 July, our Remembering With Ribbons launch event saw people gather for a special service featuring readings, as well as music by Freshwater-based harpist, Merlynna Johnson.

It was an emotional opportunity for families to remember those who have died, and to tie their own ribbons in our garden.

Event organiser, Heather Parkinson, said: “It is a privilege to be a part of this event, which offers relatives and friends the chance to write messages on colourful ribbons and display them.

“We were honoured to welcome guests to a memorable and emotional evening."

Heather added: “If you could not attend, pop into the hospice anytime until the end of August. You will find ribbons and pens in the cafe.

“Alternatively, leave your dedication online, on our virtual tree, and we will make sure it is transferred to a real ribbon and displayed outside."
