Having grown up on the Isle of Wight, Kate left to work in London as a PA in the public relations industry, gaining invaluable experience in working with big organisations, including the Government and large corporations.

She has worked with both film and music stars and the Royal Family.

After she moved back to the Isle of Wight in 2000, with her young family, she quickly became involved with several voluntary groups, including the Isle of Wight Sports Foundation, The RYS Foundation and the Literary Festival.

This culminated in her becoming a Deputy Lieutenant for the Isle of Wight, in 2017.

Among other responsibilities, Kate is on the team for the King's Award for the Voluntary Sector and was joint lead for the Queen’s Green Canopy, in Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee year.

She has recently become a trustee for Brading Roman Villa.

Kate is passionate about all aspects of the Isle of Wight, especially the people. She feels Mountbatten shares her desire to do the very best for everyone who lives here, at whatever stage of life, to enhance our community’s standards of health and wellbeing.
